Devonport Christmas Festival 2025

How our businesses + community can get involved

We’re sharing this update on behalf of the Devonport Christmas Festival organisers, who are gearing up for a huge weekend of festive fun in the village. The Devonport Christmas Festival runs from Saturday 6 – Sunday 7 December, bringing together the whole community for two days of music, markets, and celebration in the heart of Devonport.

Here’s what’s planned:

Saturday 6 December – Jingle in the Park
An evening of live local music and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. Bring a picnic blanket, round up your friends and whānau, and unwind as talented performers from Devonport and beyond take the stage. The music kicks off at 5pm in Windsor Reserve.

Think about how your business could get involved — from offering easy takeaway meals for people to enjoy in the park, to putting out sandwich boards with evening specials or grab-and-go options for concert-goers to pick up on their way down. It’s a great way to be part of the action and connect with the community while they’re out enjoying the evening.

Sunday 7 December – Santa Parade, Dance in the Park, Markets & more
From 11am, Devonport comes alive with the annual Santa Parade. Watch the streets fill with colourful floats, joyful music, and a heartwarming display of community pride.

The festive fun continues on the Windsor Reserve stage with this year’s Dance in the Park – a lively, Kiwiana-inspired Nativity performance featuring local talent, music, dance, audience participation, and sing-alongs. It’s a two-hour show full of heart and holiday spirit, running from 11:45am – 2:30pm, right after the parade.

Don’t miss Santa’s Grotto, the Windsor Park Craft Market featuring unique handmade goods, and the Fine Food Artisan Market offering gourmet treats – the perfect way to enjoy a festive Sunday with family and friends.
