Many of us have welcomed visitors from overseas, over the bridge, from across the Cook Strait and the Tasman to our delightful little Devonport. Visitors have marvelled at our tūrangawaewae, our ‘place of standing', the place we feel strongly connected to, our place in the world, our home.

It is now that we must build on the foundations our ancestors and predecessors laid, in creating a sense of community and prosperity that is stronger and runs deeper than ever.

Locals must support locals to lift our community from lockdown.

The choices we all now make, in where and what we spend, have tremendous power; they will impact on the individuals, the businesses, the infrastructure, the vibe, the future of our community.
