Visitors to the Museum can take a journey through the memories, perils, loss and, triumphs and humour of the men and women who served – and continue to serve – this country on the ocean waves. A vast array of fascinating objects, personal reflections and models tell the story of the Navy and the individuals who were and are part of it. Discover the luckiest ship in World War 1, marvel at the massive gun taken from a submarine sunk by two small New Zealand minesweepers in WW2 and try some Navy uniforms on for size whilst you check out how sailors lived on ship in our Mess Deck. There’s something for everyone at the Torpedo Bay Navy Museum. Free admission.
