Felt Treasures with Elyse Flores

  • Depot Artspace 28 Clarence Street Auckland, Auckland, 0624 New Zealand (map)

Learn how to make your own felt treasures with Devonport-based artist Elyse Flores.

In this hands-on workshop, Elyse will guide you through designing and hand-sewing a felt piece of your choice, from stencilling the design through to sewing and decorating. These colourful, customisable creations make lovely gifts, holiday ornaments or home décor.

Fabric, beads and ornament ribbons will be supplied. No prior sewing experience is needed, just bring your creativity and sense of fun.

Elyse is a Devonport-based artist working across fabric, beading, coloured pencil, paint and illustration. Her work is inspired by travel, folk art, embroidery styles from Mexico and the American Southwest, and her love of detailed, fantastical storytelling.
