Time Capsule Gallery
Time Capsule Gallery is dedicated to 19th-century European painting, with works spanning from the late 18th to early 20th century. The gallery’s name reflects its focus on this distinct era – it does not feature contemporary or earlier art – creating a true “time capsule” of the period.
The collection includes paintings from France, England, Scotland, the former Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, Italy, and Germany. Key themes explored within the gallery are floral still lifes, landscapes, and female figures. All works on display are available for purchase.
In addition, the gallery hosts twice-weekly lectures on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the late afternoon. These sessions cover fascinating and rarely discussed art-themed topics and are open to the public for a fee.

Peter Raos Studio
Peter has worked as a glass artist in Devonport for over 40 years. His wife Prue and her love of gardening gives Peter direct inspiration for his works of art: the sculptured form of the lily, the pattern of myriad leaves and the changing compositions of flowers as the seasons change. Peter has developed a number of paperweight series in homage to the French Impressionists. He takes the layering effect typical of Monet’s work and adapts it to his own glass, creating Impressionist gardens in glass.
